Emine Bostancı, virtuoso player of the Turkish kemenche (knee velvet) and artist-in-residence at Music Meeting 2023, is founder and lynchpin of the extraordinary Dareyn Quartet. She has mastered ancient Ottoman court music to perfection, but is equally at home in Turkish folk music. Cellist Maya Fridman had been around for some time, but recently Dareyn grew into a quartet with Franz von Chossy on piano and Vinsent Planjer on percussion.
